Keeping Your Pet Healthy – A New Dog Owner Guide

Tuesday, March 27th, 2007

et well groomed is an essential part of being a
new pet owner. We have compiled a few tasks that each owner
should do on a regular basis. If you make sure these things get
done, you will keep your pet happy and healthy.

Trimming your dogs’ nails is critical in keeping your pet free
from toe infections. You should always keep your pet dogs nails
trimmed to the proper length. Taking a daily walk with your pet
will help wear down their nails. If trimming their nails
doesn’t make you queasy, you can pick up a pair of nail
clippers at your favorite online pet store and trim them
yourself. You want to be sure not to cut them too short as
their nails will bleed and cause them discomfort. If you don’t
feel that you can trim their nails or that your dog might be
aggressive when you’re trying to trim them, you can take your
pet for a minimal charge to your groomer or veterinarian.

Keeping your dogs ears clean is necessary to prevent excessive
wax build up and prevent diseases or pests from settling in.
Since most dogs’ ears lie down and cover the bigger opening
they aren’t susceptible to most ear problems. However, dos
with ears that stand up are especially vulnerable to many
dangers. Most online pet stores carry a variety of dog-ear
cleaners, which are very simple to use. In most cases, you
simply put a small amount of ear cleaner on a cotton ball and
swab the outer surface of the inner ear. Regular cleaning of
your dogs’ ears will reduce the chance of ear infections and
help eliminate pests such as ear mites.

If you’re not comfortable cleaning your dogs ears, you can
always take your pet dog to your groomer or veterinarian and
they will clean your ears for you. If you’re cleaning your
dog’s ears and notice that they have long hairs you can remove
those gently by using a set of hemostats. In most cases, we
believe this to the groomers or veterinarians’ job.

Giving your dog a bath is a great way to bond with your pet.
You can purchase shampoos and conditioners designed and
formulated specifically for your pet. It is not recommended to
use flea and tick shampoos unless your pet absolutely needs it
to get rid of those nasty pests. One of the most important
things you should be aware of when giving your pet a bath is to
make sure you thoroughly rinse your pet so that it does not
cause any skin problems. Leaving the shampoo on your pet can
cause extremely dry skin, which will cause your dog to scratch
and ultimately end up in a nasty skin infection. Any dog that
has a thick or matted coat should always be brushed out before
giving them a bath. This ensures that you can adequately bathe
all layers of your dogs fur. Bathing them before you do this
will only make the problem worse Towel drying your pet dog is
recommended, but you can use specially made doggie hair dryers.
Be careful not to bathe your pet too frequently, only once
every couple of months unless they are extremely dirty.

Brushing your dog regularly will keep shedding at bay and also
help the coat to shine. Regular brushing of your pet stimulates
natural oils in the skin and help to keep it healthy in shining.
Frequent brushing will also help eliminate problems such as
matting and tangles. While brushing you also get hands-on
time, which keeps you well informed of your dogs health. This
allows you to notice if there’s a new growth, cut or bite that
you’ve never noticed before. If you see anything unusual, be
sure to inspect it further and take your pet to the vet if
necessary.

These simple tasks will keep your pet healthy and free from
major medical problems. It is important to be diligent about
the things you can control, because there are always
circumstances you can’t. Take care of your pet and they will
reward you for years to come.

ñ Whatís The Difference?

Tuesday, March 27th, 2007

There are two forms of tea that often cause confusion in the
tea world: tea the drink and tea the meal. Tea the drink is
made from the Camellia Sinensis plant and from the processing
of the plant white, green, oolong, and black teas are produced.
The basic teas are also often blended with other plants like
vanilla, mint and melon as well as flavors like Oil of Bergamot
to make Earl Grey Tea,

The beverage is made by steeping processed leaves, buds, or
twigs of the tea bush in hot water for a few minutes. The
processing can include oxidation, heating, drying, and the
addition of other herbs, flowers, spices, and fruits.

The term “herbal tea” usually refers to infusions of fruit or
of herbs (such as rosehip, chamomile, or jiaogulan) that
contain no Camellia Sinensis.

Tea the Meal

Tea the meal on the other hand involves tea the drink as an
important part but really is directed toward social and family
gatherings where tea and food are often consumed together.

Generally speaking , the tea meal became most popular and
refined in England but spread to English speaking countries or
former English colonies as well. Tea meals are also celebrated
in other countries in differing forms.

The key distinction between differing tea meals is the time of
day, type of food served and the location of serving.

Afternoon tea

Afternoon tea (or Low tea) is a light meal typically eaten at
4:00 pm. It originated in Britain, though various places in the
former British Empire also have such a meal. However, most
Britons no longer eat such a meal.

Traditionally, loose tea would be served in a teapot with milk
and sugar. This would be accompanied by various sandwiches
(customarily cucumber, egg and cress, tuna, ham, and smoked
salmon), scones (with butter, clotted cream and jam) and
usually cakes and pastries. Traditionally the tea and food
would be served on a lounge (or low) table.

While afternoon tea used to be an everyday event, nowadays it
is more likely to be a treat in a hotel, caf=C8, or tea shop,
although many Britons still have a cup of tea and slice of cake
or chocolate at teatime. Accordingly, many hotels now market and
promote afternoon teas.

High tea

To the uninitiated, High tea may be a confusing term.

High tea is an early evening meal, typically eaten between 5:00
and 6:00 pm. It would be eaten as a substitute for both
afternoon tea and the evening meal. The term comes from the
meal being eaten at the =EBhigh’ (main) table, instead of the
smaller lounge (low) table. It is now largely replaced by the
later meal tea.

It would usually consist of cold meats, eggs and/or fish, cakes
and sandwiches. In a family, it tended to be less formal and is
an informal snack (featuring sandwiches, cookies, pastry, fruit
and the like) or else it is the main evening meal.

On farms, rural areas or other working class environments, high
tea would be the traditional, substantial meal eaten by workers
immediately after nightfall, and would combine afternoon tea
with the main evening meal.

In recent years, High tea somehow became a word for exquisite
afternoon tea. Such usage is incorrect. High Tea is not, in
traditional terms, afternoon tea.

Main evening meal

Tea is the main evening meal, even if the diners are not
drinking tea. It is traditionally eaten at 5 o’clock in the
evening, though often it is later, as late as 9pm.

In many rural parts of the United Kingdom tea as a meal is
synonymous with dinner in Standard English. Under such usage,
the midday meal is sometimes termed dinner, rather than lunch.

The United States

The term high tea is sometimes used in the United States to
refer to afternoon tea or the tea party, a very formal,
ritualized gathering in which tea, thin sandwiches and small
cakes are served in an exquisite setting. This usage comes from
misunderstanding the term high to mean formal. Most tea drinkers
understand that such usage is incorrect;

This form of tea is increasingly served in high-end U.S.
hotels, often during the winter holidays and other tourist
seasons, and many big-city teahouses, where it is usually
correctly described as Afternoon tea

Social Implications

The tea party is still occasionally given in the U.S., usually
for a special occasion. This occasion is a formal one, but
otherwise afternoon tea is an informal gathering of friends.
The tea party often became a place of intimate conversation and
social intercourse.

Tea is a very important part of many people’s lives and it is
important for those who drink tea or participate in tea meals
to understand the correct terminology.

Try Spain For A Great Holiday

Tuesday, March 27th, 2007

know all about Spain, then the best thing to do
is research it before your vacation. Learning about Spanish
culture before you come to Spain will help you to have a better
grasp of the place and the people. If you come to Spain you
won’t be disappointed by the wide array of things to do and see
here.

Spain offers a wide variety of cultural, culinary, and
historical activities that are right for everyone. You can
visit the beautiful meadows and valleys, hike the Pyrenees, or
relax on a beach with your entire family. You will find
something for everyone in your family when you visit Spain.

When you are in Spain you may notice that the language sounds
different than that spoken in South and Central America. The
Spanish in Spain is commonly known as Castillian. This form is
related to Italian, Portguese, and French. You may also hear
people speak Basque, Catalan, and Galician if you travel to
different regions of the country.

You can often find cheap flights on major airlines to Spain.
This is the most popular way to enter the country and there are
many large and excellent international airports located
throughout Spain. It doesn’t matter which region of the
country you want to visit you will be able to find a flight
from your hometown.

When you are in Spain you may want to consider traveling by
bus. There are many buses to choose from that have cheap fares
and are very comfortable. Seeing Spain while using public
transport will save you lots of time and headaches.

If you want to have more independence and freedom on your trip
then you should consider using a car rental or car hire
company. You can travel wherever you want and whenever you
want without worry about schedules. You can find out this kind
of information online or through your travel agent.

There is a wide abundance of excellent cuisine in Spain.
Whether you are inland or on the coast, in a big city or in a
small town you will be able to find food to suit your palate.
When you are the coast you can enjoy fresh seafood nearly every
day and when you are inland you can select from high-grade meat.

When you are in Spain, you’ll be delighted at how fresh all the
food is when you go out to eat. There is very little in the way
of frozen food and you can be sure the meat, seafood, and
vegetables are usually grown and produced locally.

When you want to eat out for dinner and lunch you should be
aware of the differences in Spain in terms of schedule compared
to your country. In Spain lunch is usually eaten at 2:00 pm and
dinner is served at 9:00 pm or later.

If you want to relax and an enjoy wine, beer, or a mixed drink
than you can find a wide selection of bars to choose from.
This is a great way to meet some locals and practice your
Spanish. There is no age restriction to go into a bar, so feel
free to bring the kids. Spaniards tend not to get drunk and
this is not considered polite behavior.

The Euro was introduced to Spain in 2002 and this is the common
currency. You cannot use any other currency and should be
prepared to change money at a bank or ATM machine when you
arrive. The airport will usual be able to accommodate your
needs.

You can also use credit cards all over Spain for purchases or
to go out. You usually need to show your passport upon using a
credit or debit card. This is for your own protection, so make
sure you have it with you when you want to use your card.

Sharing Some Thoughts on Spirituality from John Kehoe’s Book ‘Vision of
Power and Glory’ (Updated)

Submitter’s Note:
In my research on the link between the human mind and spirituality this
piece was sourced from a most interesting book by John Kehoe. Whilst the
submitter may not necessarily agree with all the author’s beliefs and
writings, I am sharing from this work in the spirit of stimulating
discussion and questioning, as well as encouraging people to read this
book and hope it may be helpful in finding their own spiritual path.

What is RELIGION?:

In his book VISION OF POWER AND GLORY, John Kehoe examines the difference
between spirituality and religion: Like him, I believe that you do not
have to have any one particular belief to nurture yourself spiritually.
It is not adopting a religion which is of critical importance; but rather
by undergoing a spiritual awakening, which gives us comfort to get
through the trials and tribulations of life. Why is that? Because all
that religion is, is a set of beliefs. You adopt a set of principles or
body of knowledge, eg. Christian, Jewish, Malay, Indian, Buddhist,
Muslim, etc. Anything at all…and hasn’t religion and other rigid dogmas
caused so many wars over the years – from the beginning of man.

However, everyone is convinced there is the one true way (to truth and
enlightenment) – that theirs is the only religion to hold. And this often
causes strife in family’s and countries. But is there only one true
religion which is correct? There is no one true way, I believe. There are
as many ways as there are people to find God, the spirit of the Universe
itself…and all that is good in life.

I believe that all religions can comfort and nourish the soul – as long
as you are a true believer in the ALMIGHTY, a Power Greater than
Oneself…and have FAITH in his will (or God’s plan for you or whatever
you may wish to call Infinite Spirit). So religion in itself can be a
very good thing.
*
SPIRITUALITY:

What is spirituality?

Spirituality goes much deeper than religion. At least I believe so. It is
the innermost sense of you. Spirituality is far more than what is in your
heart – it is all of you: your heart, your soul and your entire BEING
(including your spirit).

What is the Spirit?: Awaken to the spirit deep within you. The universe
is pouring out to us all the time. Follow the spirit that leads to your
heart. It’s a matter of our EVOLUTION as human beings. It belongs to
every single human being – this feeling of belonging to the human race.
The feeling of spirituality is pouring out to us and beckoning us to make
the most of our lives through the power of the ALMIGHTY. “Reborn
Christians” often say they have this feeling. I truly believe there is
more to life than myself. It is your own thoughts and beliefs which are
all-important; but they are guided by ourselves and by the “Person/Higher
Power” way up above us. I believe God, as the Ultimate Source gives us
hints through thoughts entering our subconscious mind about what path to
take, following our dreams (perhaps dreams far bigger than we could
conceive on our own). Or people we meet along our path who can help
us…and we in turn help them. I truly believe God, our Creator or
whatever

And one day we will be able to see the fruits of our labours and our
BELIEFS for ourselves. This is what keeps me going on my long and ardous
quest as a writer. Just like Odysseus from Greek mythology.

Reap, sow, then wait for the bumper harvest. It is sure to come. You too
can plant that first seed to inner peace and serenity, joy, fullness,
compassion for others, and especially love.
Then see the fruits of the germination of your spirit, just like the rose
bud blooms in spring.

With true spirituality your life will be filled with tranquility and
happiness. Spirituality is taught to us as a duty and obligation (we have
to go to church and pray, otherwise ‘the devil’ will wreak havoc upon our
lives); but it is a path that brings us great joy and enlightenment (or
as John Kehoe calls it “enlightened self interest”), if we simply relax
and TRUST the process and enjoy the journey. I believe this new feeling
of serenity and calm acceptance can make us all become better sons,
daughters, fathers, mothers, wives/husbands, parents – but more
importantly, better human beings (even a more astute businessman, who
makes a lot of money- if that is what you really want). Because with true
spirituality every aspect of your being becomes enhanced. This feeling of
spirituality is experienced deep within yourself. In your heart, but more
in your soul, you feel a closeness to nature and to your CREATOR. It’s as
if you are having a personal chat with Him. Then you will see the f
*
A few short definitions to summarise and end off this section…

Religion is “living in order to die” – that is, preparing on earth for
the next life. Spirituality is “living in order to live life to the
fullest”. It’s a feeling of being at peace with oneself, a calm
acceptance of oneself and our circumstances.

I believe those two definitions encompass the true differences between
religion and spirituality.

Remember to always strive for balance in your life: between your material
wants and your desire for spirituality.

Getting a bit “heavy” in this section, Mr Philosopher. And a tiny bit of
humour to end off this very serious subject that we have been looking
at…

“Religion is for those who fear going to hell; whilst spirituality is for
those who’ve already been there.”
- anon

“There are those who spend all their time working, those who spend all
their time dreaming, and those who dream for an hour a day before going
to work to fulfill their dream. In the third category there’s virtually
no competition, so that’s the way to go.”

“Only when one has been in the deepest valley, can a person know what
it’s like to stand on the highest peak.”
- Richard Nixon
I love that one spoken ‘from the heart’ by “tricky Dickie”!

“When I was a young man, I wanted to change the world.
I found it was difficult to change the world, so I tried to change my
nation.
When I found I couldn’t change the nation, I began to focus on my town.
I couldn’t change the town and as an older man, I tried to change my
family.
Now, as an old man, I realize the only thing I can change is myself,
and suddenly I realize that if long ago I had changed myself,
I could have made an impact on my family.
My family and I could have made an impact on our town.
Their impact could have changed the nation and
I could indeed have changed the world.”
- Author Unknown

“Happiness deep down within
Serenity with each sunshine
Success in every facet of your life
Family beside you, friends close and caring
Health inside you
Love that never ends
Special memories of all the yesterdays
A bright today with much to be thankful for
A path that leads to tomorrow
Dreams to come true
Appreciation of the wonderful things in life
A quiet wish, a gentle wish, for peace and happiness.”

- beautiful words from my friend, Helen Hansard, Gisborne, New Zealand

These powerful, deep and moving words from Neale Donald Walsh have great
significance to me in my journey…and this is my reason for sharing…

“The moment of your greatest darkness may yet become your grandest gift.
As you are gifted, so too will you gift others, giving to them the
highest treasure: to BE THEMSELVES. Let this be your task, let this be
your greatest joy: to give back to themselves…even in their darkest
hour.”
- adapted (slightly) from Neale Donald Walsch (‘Conversations with God 3′)

and to end off (at last!) thanks so much for sharing these beautiful and
inspiring words, Larry…

“I wish you well on a rainy day
I wish you rainbows to brighten your day
To feel your quiet moments with a special kind of warmth
to remind you that happiness can happen
when you least expect it.

I wish you rainbows to make you laugh and smile
to show you the simple beauty of life
and to give you the magic of dreams come true.

I wish you rainbows
I wish you well.”

How Can NFL Fans Support Their Favorite Team?

Tuesday, March 27th, 2007

ways that an NFL fan can support their favorite
football team. Loyalty is a good place to start. Loyalty means
making sure to attend or watch very single game that the team
plays. It also means loving your team unconditionally and
standing by them no matter what. Whether they win the Super
Bowl or fail to win any games during the entire season, you’re
always there, rooting for them.

Promoting your favorite NFL team is also a great way to show
support. This can be achieved in a number of ways. The most
popular and customary way is by wearing team-related gear. This
is an excellent way of promoting the football team of your
choice. When you go out donning the team material, others see
it and may become motivated to watch a game, attend a game in
person, or even go out and buy some of the same or similar gear
for themselves. They may even become inspired to read more about
the team or the National Football League in general, after
looking at your team-related merchandise.

Finding the appropriate gear isn’t difficult at all. There are
many sporting goods stores and countless websites that carry a
wide variety of sports-related paraphernalia to choose from.
One excellent site that sells everything that you may possibly
need is link as per attached below, and they even offer great
money-saving coupons.

There are numerous types of NFL gear to choose from: hats,
sweatshirts, t-shirts, socks, jerseys, shorts, pants, and many
more items. If a fan doesn’t want to only buy gear, there are
countless other NFL-related items to choose from. This list
includes but is not limited to: Clocks, watches, blankets,
towels, license plate frames, checkbooks, and much more. Almost
any object you can think of can be bought with your favorite
football team’s logo on it. It may take a little creative
searching, but any item can be found.

Many sites and stores are quite eager to cater to their
customers, and this means that they will do almost anything to
keep their customers happy. If it means ordering a special size
of a certain item because a customer is exceptionally large or
small, they will be more than happy to do it, but for an
additional charge, or course.

It isn’t hard to support your favorite NFL team. All you need
is a little creativity and a lot of loyalty.

Myspace is their space too?!

Myspace is their space too?!

Successful Office
http://www.SuccessfulOffice.com

Myspace.com, “a place for friends” is unfortunately a place for
people such as pedophiles, murders, rapists, kidnappers, and
other people who most people wouldn’t want to consider a friend;
but the scary part is, you never know which one of these people
have places right there on your “friend list”.

This popular, free internet site provides people with an
opportunity to fully express themselves through a page which
allows them to be creative and decorate using pictures and all
sorts of things. It also offers free personal blog journals which
people post their thoughts and feelings, and can choose to share
them with others. Overall, it is an extremely fun place to chat
with friends, meet new people, find old friends from grammar
school through college and chat more frequently with friends and
family who live a great distance away.

Most people who use the site do not give out any personal
information, however, with some information that people provide,
along with pictures, it wouldn’t be too hard for another person
to find them if they wanted to. The personal pages on myspace are
networked to provide links to other people’s personal pages.
There is also space for a person to put their favorite people and
their links on their page; referred to as a “top 8″ (or the
choice of a top “4″,”8″,”12″,”16″,”20″,or “24″).
Usually this is where you could find a person’s close friends
and relatives; which may link a person to even more information
about a person. There is an option which allows a person to
either make their page private or allow the public to view it.
When a page is listed as private; unless you are already listed
as one of those people’s friends, an accepted invitation to be a
friend is the only way the page can be viewed. Myspace can also
be a useful tool for police to locate criminals and find out
illegal dealings; since people have a tendency to bare their
souls on their pages. There are people who post pictures of their
illegal guns and other paraphernalia that would help assist
police officers with arrests.

Sadly, many parents do not know about their children using
myspace. The site has a rule that states a person must be 14
years of age or older to create an account; but there are kids as
young as 9 years old who have a myspace account. Many of these
children are not responsible enough and list personal information
about themselves as well as explicit content that would shock
their parents if they were to find out. Other parents find
myspace to be a useful tool in monitoring what their kids are
doing and also what their friends may be doing. Child molesters
and pedophiles can make much use of this site as well. It can do
the majority of the work for them and make their attacks as easy
as shopping online.

Many detectives go on myspace posing as young children in order
to capture some of these disgraceful people. Other’s go on to
pose as kids and test other kids see how far they will go as far
as giving out personal information. Myspace can be used as a
personal marketing tool, as bands and other music artists find it
as a great way to showcase their talent. Just as you never know
who you will run into on myspace in a negative aspect, you never
know who you will meet. There are thousands of celebrities and
scouts who also use myspace, which may help an unexpected
opportunity fall into a person’s lap.

There are both many positive and negative sides to myspace, and
it can definitely be a wonderfully useful and exciting place for
friends to hang out online. However, it can be extremely
dangerous if it is used in the wrong way. Many people expose
themselves and other things that they will most likely not be
proud of in ten years.

Parents definitely need to monitor their children on myspace as
well as any other internet site while they are online. The site
has been responsible for bringing steamy affairs between people
to the light of lovers; broke up many relationships, and put a
strain on long-term friendships. Still in all, some people love
myspace.com so much that they’d prefer to spend a Friday or
Saturday night indoors in front of their computers as opposed to
going out. The famous “Tom” has been cursed out many-a-time for
doing site updates in the middle of the day or in the evening
when most people want to get online. Of course during these site
updates myspace is “temporarily undergoing updates, we’ll be
back up and running shortly”. Those are without a doubt the most
dreaded words of true myspace addict.

The Heart Of Your Sauna The Sauna Heater

Monday, March 26th, 2007

it’s the life and blood of any sauna if you
intend on enjoying it for it’s heat rather then just a nice
quiet place to sit and think. Sauna heaters have come a long
way from the days back in Finland when they built a fire in a
cave and enjoyed the heat it gave off in the enclosure. While
you can still get wood burning sauna heaters, most health clubs
and home sauna owners opt for something a little cleaner, and
more up to date.

It was in the 1950′s that the electric sauna heater first came
to market. It was with this sauna heater that the sauna began
to catch on around the globe in health spas, and homes. It
heated up reasonably quickly compared to a wood fired heater,
and rid the awful smoke that was also associated with wood
burning. By using an electric heater sauna users were able to
enjoy both a wet or dry sauna experience.

Along with electric came propane and gas fired sauna heaters,
functioning in much the same way except deriving their heat
from a gas burner rather then an electric element. They
produced fast heat, but were a little more expensive to use.
Not to mention the sauna required special plumbing to handle
the gas lines, and people weren’t especially keen on having a
gas line inside their home.

Then came todays best solution an infrared, also known as a FIR
infrared sauna heater. By far it was the furthest technological
advance that occurred with the heaters that had come before it,
and offered the safest and most efficient to be used in a home
sauna.

The biggest advantage an infrared sauna heater offered was it
heated the individual in the sauna but not the heat around it.
The waves the heater emitted (while similar to a microwave, but
not dangerous) it heated the tissue, and below the tissue
surface, but left the rest of the air in the sauna reasonably
cool. This meant less electricity, and as we soon came to
discover more medicinal properties.

By heating below the skin level the infrared heater helped to
increase blood circulation, detox the body of toxins, and
reduce fatigue and aches/pains. Said to also penetrate the
organs, and deep tissues it offers healthy side effects to any
one suffering from poor circulation, and multiple other medical
conditions.

While this is more of a natural medical technique, before using
an infrared sauna you should consult with your doctor, to ensure
you will not experience any ill side effects. For most people a
sauna provides a relaxing environment, but it’s always safe to
fend on the side of caution.

Spirituality

Spirituality has always been a very sensitive topic. To many, it
is a never ending discussion which can lead to arguments and
debates that can jump from topic to topic. For others, it is a
topic that should be left well enough, alone. I personally find
the topic to not only be interesting, but also very important.
After recently having a discussion about the spiritual aspects of
living in this era, the following questions were posed… Do you
find that this time frame that we are living in is perfect for
open minded Spiritual individuals to thrive, or the opposite,
that the powers that be, governed by a strict moralistic approach
more bent on control than actual enlightenment, will stop at
nothing to squash different thinking? Are you worried about the
future of our free society, or do you think that the time is ripe
for a new way?”

Now, this could be a very difficult question, or an easy one,
depending on how a person looks at it. I find this to be very
interesting; my initial thought being, “where do I begin to
answer this”. Well, the way I see it, these times are perfect as
far as a challenge goes for open minded spiritual people. On the
other hand, there are so many different religions with their own
set of standards and expectations that it’s almost impossible to
choose one without the lingering thought of “are these the right
teachings?”. This is why I completely separate religion from
being spiritual. I am spiritual, meaning I do not claim a
religion for the simple fact that I feel I can’t go wrong as
long as I do believe and worship a higher source, which for me is
God. I do believe that Jesus is Lord and that he died for our
sins.

I am also solid in my belief that without our heavenly Father,
nothing would have been or will ever be possible. There is way
too much controversy these days about needing to go to church to
worship. The way I feel about it, anywhere you pray is considered
God’s home. There isn’t one special place where he listens over
any other. Many people look down upon people who don’t warm a
seat in church “every single Sunday” but they fail to realize
that everybody in the church is in their for their own reasons.
You have the ones who go there just to say they attend…leaving
there with no more than what they came in with; swearing before
they can even get across the street from the church. Then there
are those who go just for status, or to “out dress”. Others use
it as just another part of the dating scene.

I don’t particularly like to use the word hypocrite, but the
very people who consider themselves strong in their beliefs and
incorporates it into their daily lives but does not attend a
church is better off. I do believe that fellowshipping with other
believers is important but again, that can be done on the daily,
outside of the church. I find myself doing that at least twice a
day, whether it is on the train, the supermarket, at work or
anywhere else. It is a huge part of who I am and I get
spiritually fed by other’s just sharing what I know and
listening to their views.

I am worried about the future in a sense, not for myself but for
lost souls. Just like in biblical days, the same things still go
on with the twist of time. But then again it’s all about how the
ways of the world can sway a person. I have taught myself how not
to look at this world at face value. In my eyes everything is
disguised until we make an effort to see it differently.
Actually, really “seeing” the world is easier than just living
it the way it’s laid out. The smallest details are the biggest
ones to me. People get caught up with too much superficial and
possessions. There is NOTHING here on this earth that we own
besides our own love, which was actually given to us to share
with others. How can someone claim another human being when we
don’t even have the authority to claim ourselves? It is
ridiculous, yet people kill over it. But it is reasons like these
that make it important for us all to force ourselves to see the
world in a higher light. These days I see it as the only means of
surviving.
